A few years ago, I flew to Hawaii to attend the wedding of my one and only niece. The ceremony was beautiful, and Hawaii is a paradise. My son is in Hawaii on business, and he called and sent some photos. We talked about the roosters and chickens that run free on the island. On one of the videos he sent me, you can hear a rooster crowing.
Our conversation and his photos inspired me to do a thread sketch of a rooster for today’s post on the 100 Day Project.
Then, I tried my hand at doing a water color of a view from above. I had purchased a semi-expensive small water color set. Then, yesterday, I found a kit that was reduced from $10 to $1.50. I thought it was a no-lose situation, so I bought it. Since I am a novice at water color, I really do not see the difference between the first paint set that I bought, and the reduced price set. In fact, I like the reduced price set better, since the paint blocks are larger.

I will be out of my sewing/art room for a few days. I am sure to find inspiration as I spend time with my family and friends.
They look great!
Thanks, Lori. I wish I was in Hawaii!
Me too!
Your rooster has great attitude. He’s obviously king of the coop!
Of course he is! Thanks!
We visited Hawaii almost 20 years ago. It’s the only place I’d like to live besides where I do. Truly a beautiful paradise. I love your rooster portrait.
Thank you. My goal is to take a family trip to Hawaii.
I like your Hawaiian colors even better than the picture!!
Thanks. I’m studying many water color tutorials.
Love your Rooster!
Thanks, Christine.
What? You didn’t go along on the business trip??? OK, kidding. But I would have been tempted!
I get to do something better…take care of my grandson 😉
