Since I am already packed for my Meemaw trip to Shulenburg, Texas, I decided I had time to start one more thread sketch block. The piece is still in progress, but the major thread sketching is done.
The itinerary for this Meemaw trip includes: the Painted Churches tour, the
Texas Quilt Museum, The Shiner Brewery Tour, nature hikes and bird watching.
Of course, we will look for a cafe that serves pie.
To entertain ourselves at the hotel, we will be learning how to play Canasta.
Yes, I have gone full circle and turned into my mother.
Sounds like a fun trip and I love the bird thread sketch. I took out a book from the library on thread sketching, you got me fascinated with it as a creative tool!
When I see something I like I start thread sketching it in my head…it’s so addictive. Look up Debra Wirsu on YouTube. She’s amazing. I’m still just outlining.
Thanks!
Sounds like a wonderful trip. Of course you need pie! 😊
We just stopped for lunch and had banana cream pie 🥧
Oh…..YUM!!!!! 🥧
Your thread sketches are really progressing but still keeping your signature whimsy that I love.
Enjoy your Meemaw trip! 🚗
Thank you, Abbie. We are having a blast!
Glad to hear it! 😀
