Wherever you go, go with all your heart.

My projects sometimes include things made in the shape of the heart.
I am fond of this shape; and I have used it in place-mats, mug rugs, zentangle drawings, rock art, and other projects. I also included some heart shape blocks into quilts.
As I was perusing through Pinterest, I saw some coiled fabric bowls made in the shape of a heart.
I could not find any free patterns or tutorials on Youtube or anywhere else.
Susan Breier includes a heart-shaped coiled basket in her second book,
It’s a Wrap II.
I have the first book, but not the second.
In the first book, Susan Breier explains the different ways to build up the sides of the basket.
I re-read the different techniques, and decided to try to figure out how to make a heart-shaped basket.
I referred to the pictures on Pinterest as a guide.
I am pretty happy with the results.

Cute! And in plenty of time for somebody’s June wedding 😁
I love it, Grace!!
Thanks, Judi!
Love these!
Thanks.
AMAZING! Now it is obvious there is nothing you cannot do craft-wise. You see the photo, you make it. You are amazing 🙂
Thank you. My goal is to be making improv quilts, and I am sidetracked for a bit. I will get to quilts soon.
They just keep getting better and better!
Thank you.
Very nice.
Thank you.
Beautiful Chela!
You can fill in the gap on youtube, “ ❤️ Fabric coiled basket, brought to you by Chela”
I was struggling on figuring it out I didn’t even think of taking pictures🤪If I make another one, maybe I will make a video. Thanks for the idea.
I have always been fond of collecting and displaying hearts. Your newest coil basket is a wonderful heart representation. Very pretty! 😊
Thank you. My sons and daughters-in-law liked them.
