We are getting ready for a big cold front with ice.
Nothing compared to what people up North have, but major for us.
I went to stock up on groceries, along with all the people on my part of town.
It took longer than I planned to run errands today.
I did stop to get Valentine fabric to make pillow cases.
When I finally got home, I decided to work on one of my goals, which is to use up scraps.
In the spirit of MLK Day, IΒ made a scrappy heart pillow.
It was going to be a hanging heart, but I think I will keep it as a pillow.

I am happy to report that I am feeling more control when I am FMQ.
I knew you would get the hang of FM quilting! Love the βscrappyβ heart and your goal to use up scraps! It is cold up north! Our thermometer currently reads 12 degrees. I have no idea what the wind chill is though. oh, and one more thing…way to go for buying more fabric! π
I had a slight shock when purchasing the fabric. For one piece of fabric, the price on the ticket was $1,770 instead of $1.70! (It was for the small strip on the pillow case.)
I’m bad, but not that bad!
The mistake was corrected.
12 degrees?! I can barely function when we hit 32 degrees!
I would be shocked too! You would get used to it eventually! Always hard at the start! π
Pillows are great practice for free motion quilting, yours is so cute!
Thank you. Pillows are just the right size not to tire out. Do you find FMQ hard on your back and shoulders or am I just out of shape? πI try having good posture, but it still gets to my back.
Love it!
Thanks!
Nice that you’re making fun projects while you practice!
I love your whimsy! Your projects always shine π
Thank you.π
