This fabulous week with my granddaughter has gone by so fast. Tomorrow, I will take her to ballet class. When we return, her parents should be back. I told them they could stay away a bit longer, but it didn’t work.
After school today, my granddaughter and I worked on some heart yo-yo’s. I found this heart yo- yo maker at Valli and Kim’s quilt shop in Dripping Springs.
I had some pony buttons in my jar that caught her attention. I had brought a scrap bag from home, and she chose some fabric. She is pretty good at sewing stitches and buttons. I help her hold the fabric and guide her when we are stitching from the bottom – up.
We made hair clips with the yo-yo’s and she hung them in her room.
She finished sewing the owl buttons on her owl hexagon block yesterday. She is so proud of her work.
What a fun project with your granddaughter!
Way to go grandma! 🙂
