I just returned from a wonderful week with my four year old granddaughter…I mean my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter. (She would remind me of this every time.)
The week started with her graduation from preschool.
Then it was non-stop action from that point on.
Our activities included :
- nature walks
- scavenger hunt
- journaling
- arts and crafts
- visits to the Thinkery, Ladybird Johnson Wildlife Center, quilt shop, and library
- reading
- indoor adventure due to rain-making a tent out of a quilt and reading with a flashlight
Here are a few of the projects we made together:
Felt Bookmark
Cover for Journal
Journal Entry
Photography (She has her own camera)
We read The Perfect Square by Michael Hall and made our own creations from a square.
Frog Rocks (We read Tuesday by David Weisner and got inspired to make our own frogs. )
Water color : Garden in the Rain
I miss her already!
We plan to have some more time together soon.
Now, I will get back to my projects.
