Making Journals

In between quilts, I took a book making class at Las Colchas.
The instructor was Chris Ornelas We started the process by folding the paper. Then came the stitching, the binding, adding the fabric to the covers, and adding end pages. It was such a great class. I ended up making six books.
Las Colchas will once again be hosting Chris on March 26, to make a book with coptic binding.

Las Colchas has a beautiful selection of wool. At the shop, I purchased Book of Days, book of daysby Maggie Bonanomi.
Instead of embellishing the wool cover with embroidery, I chose to use a piece of jewelry.
I also used an decorative buttons on the two other books I made.
